What is HCG?
HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a hormone present at high levels in early pregnancy. In fact, this hormone is used as a marker in home pregnancy tests.
How does it help with weight loss?
HCG protects the good fats in your body and your muscle mass, while stimulating your fat loss to come from fat stores. In other words, it will not cause you to lose weight but it will burn your fat stores first if you are losing weight.
How long are the treatments and how do I take them?
Your injections are given in the subcutaneous fat, just like an insulin injection. The body will respond for approximately 40 days to HCG. After the 40 days, you will need an 8 week break to allow the body to become responsive again. You can then participate in another 40 days, repeating this cycle until you have reached your desired weight loss.
Note: When we burn fat, we will burn our good fats and muscle first. What we want to lose are our fat stores.
